More importantly, striking an enemy applies a unique mark that prompts a fiery explosion dealing 2.75 times minion damage whenever a summoned pet lands an attack on that target.

High-damage minion synergy and legendary reforge

Because the tag explosion scales directly with the single-hit power of minions rather than adding a flat damage bonus, the whip synergizes with summons that strike hard rather than rapidly. This makes it a stellar companion alongside heavier single-target summons throughout mechanical boss progression. While Durendal and Kaleidoscope offer superior attack speed buffs later, Firecracker holds a unique offensive niche. Legendary remains the finest prefix for maximal reach and strike speed.
