Hellhounds are fiery demonic beasts that storm arena floors during the intermediate waves of the Pumpkin Moon. Boasting 1,800 life and 38 defense, these ferocious hounds run significantly faster than standard walking monsters, clearing uneven terrain with agile leaps. Contact with their snapping jaws inflicts 80 base damage, making them severe threats to players caught on ground level without flight accessories.
Elevated platform defense against canine blitzes
Fighting Hellhounds on flat ground is dangerous because of their rapid closing speed and pack numbers. Constructing an elevated wooden platform arena above the ground neutralizes their charge, allowing players to rain down grenades, piercing spells, or ranged arrows with safety. In Master mode, their health scales to 3,240 life with 180 damage, necessitating rapid focus fire and slowing debuffs like Frostbite.
