Sprinting wooden abominations of the pumpkin moon event
Splinterlings are aggressive animated tree creatures that swarm the battlefield during early waves of the Pumpkin Moon event. Endowed with 1,200 life and 32 armor, these wooden horrors sprint toward players with relentless speed, dealing 100 contact damage in Classic, 150 in Expert, and 225 in Master mode. Their sheer numbers and rapid advance can easily overrun unprepared ground arenas and trap players against walls.
Gathering spooky wood timber from seasonal swarms
Because Splinterlings spawn in tightly packed clusters across arena floors, utilizing piercing magic spells, broadsword swings, or explosive rocket launchers cuts down entire packs in seconds. Defeating them quickly accelerates event progression toward later boss waves. Every defeated Splinterling drops Spooky Wood at a 100% rate (1–3 units), providing the necessary crafting timber for Spooky Armor and summoning gear.
Trivia
- Splinterlings advance in dense packs during initial waves of the Pumpkin Moon before minibosses arrive.
- Splinterlings have high mass and resist light weapon knockback, requiring continuous area-of-effect damage.
