Shadowflame Apparitions are spectral purple skull entities summoned by the Goblin Warlock during Hardmode Goblin Army invasions. Manifesting from shadowy rituals with 180 life and 18 defense, they drift through solid blocks and terrain directly toward the player. Their ghostly touch inflicts 50 base contact damage, accompanied by the burning Shadowflame debuff.

Dispersing phasing specters before shadowflame burns accumulate

Because Shadowflame Apparitions ignore terrain boundaries, hiding inside enclosed bunkers does not provide safety from their pursuit. The Shadowflame debuff prevents health regeneration, making prolonged contact lethal when fighting multiple goblin troops. High-velocity ranged fire, wide whip sweeps, and homing projectiles banish these apparitions before they close range. In Master mode, their health rises to 459 life while their strikes inflict 120 damage.
