Hardmode goblin sorcery and shadowflame
The Goblin Warlock (also known as the Goblin Summoner) is a formidable mini-boss who enters the Goblin Army invasion once the world transitions into Hardmode. Endowed with 2,000 life and 26 defense, she hovers above the battlefield atop a levitating platform, dealing 80 contact damage in Classic, 160 in Expert, and 240 in Master. She conjures swarms of homing Shadowflame Apparitions that dart through solid blocks to strike players.
Countering shadowflame summons and weapon spoils
Her homing apparitions inflict the Shadowflame debuff, dealing continuous damage that cannot be doused by water. High-mobility wings and piercing ranged weapons are vital to eliminate the apparitions before focusing damage on the summoner herself. Defeating the Goblin Warlock rewards powerful Hardmode weapons: the Shadowflame Bow at 16.7%, the Shadowflame Knife at 16.7%, and the Shadowflame Hex Doll at 16.7%.
Trivia
- She is the only goblin capable of summoning autonomous flying apparitions to overwhelm defenders.
