Crafted from Chlorophyte Bar ingots at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil, the Chlorophyte Helmet grants 13 defense tailored for ranged combat. It increases ranged damage by 16% and provides a 20% chance to conserve ammunition. When combined with Chlorophyte Plate Mail and Chlorophyte Greaves, the set summons an automated Leaf Crystal turret above the wearer that targets nearby hostiles with piercing beams.

Automated perimeter defense and ranged repositioning

The orbiting Leaf Crystal fires homing piercing pulses at nearby hostiles, picking off aerial pursuers while the player aims heavy firearms. Compared to early Hardmode ranger options or Frost Helmet, this helmet provides greater specialized ammunition conservation and dependable defensive stats before unlocking endgame Shroomite armor. It pairs effectively with rapid-firing repeaters, bows, and bullet weapons when fighting Plantera or exploring deep cavern biomes. The sustained ammo preservation works well with high-velocity bullets or chlorophyte arrows, reducing the need to carry extensive ammunition backups.
