Angler reward deliveries and crate salvage
Awarded by the Angler upon completing daily fishing tasks and found inside Iron, Gold, and Hardmode crates, this consumable provides 50% bait power. Its high power rating reduces the chance of bait consumption on each catch via the game formula, resulting in roughly a 10.7% consumption rate per reel.
High bait power and reduced consumption rates
Unlike wild critters that take individual inventory slots, this bait stacks cleanly up to 9999 items. It is the premier choice for Blood Moon angling, crate farming, and quest runs, outperforming common worms. Saving stacks for potion-assisted fishing runs ensures high returns.
Trivia
