Shroomite Breastplate

Autohammer alloy tailoring and ballistic chest defense

Constructed at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil using Shroomite Bar ingots, the Shroomite Breastplate serves as the central chest armor for post-Plantera marksmen. Smelted from glowing mushrooms and chlorophyte at the Autohammer, this sturdy piece provides 24 defense. It enhances ranged damage and critical strike probability by 13% each while contributing a 20% chance to conserve precious ammunition during intense firefights and boss battles.

Ammunition preservation stacking and ranged versatility

When worn alongside Shroomite Leggings and a class-specific headpiece, the wearer gains stealth capabilities while holding still. The 20% ammo conservation probability on the breastplate stacks with items like the Ammo Box and Ammo Reservation Potion. This allows marksmen wielding fast guns such as the Megashark or Chain Gun to conserve expensive specialty munitions during protracted wave events like the Frost Moon.
