Skittish furred dwellers of glacial ice caverns
Snow Flinxes are small, round mammals that dwell in the Underground Snow biome. Featuring 70 health and 12 defense, they trot toward intruders, dealing 26 contact damage, which scales to 52 in Expert and 78 in Master. Unlike most aggressive cavern monsters, a Snow Flinx retreats momentarily after taking damage, bouncing backward and circling warily before attempting another strike.
Gathering warm pelts for early summoner robes
Farming Snow Flinxes is a top priority for early summoner playthroughs. Each defeat yields Flinx Fur at a 100% chance in quantities of 1–2, used to craft the Flinx Fur Coat and Flinx Staff at a Loom. In addition to pelts, Snow Flinxes drop the Snowball Launcher at a 4% rate and the Compass at 2%.
Trivia
- Snow Flinxes will not spawn on thin ice blocks or wooden platforms, preferring natural snow and ice blocks.
