The Undead Viking is a resilient warrior entombed in the Underground Snow biome. Clad in frozen furs and a horned helmet with 70 health and 10 armor, it strides steadily across slick ice, dealing 24 contact damage in Classic, 48 in Expert, and 72 in Master. Its solid mass grants it high knockback resistance, preventing miners from easily knocking it back.
Securing grappling hooks and traditional viking helmets
Because Undead Vikings do not flinch easily on icy footing, players should deploy ranged wooden bows, thrown shurikens, or yo-yos to whittle down their health before they close in. Slaying an Undead Viking yields the Viking Helmet at 2%, the Compass at 2%, and the essential Hook at a 4% rate for building early mobility hooks.
