Shimmer
- Shimmer turns it into Ambrosia.
Shaking forest hardwoods for stone fruit
Apricots are harvested by striking the trunks of normal Forest trees with an axe. When a tree canopy shakes, there is a fixed chance for fruit to fall, selecting an Apricot from the temperate woodland drop table. Eating this small stone fruit grants the Well Fed buff for 5 minutes (18,000 ticks), boosting defense by 2, damage by 5%, and movement speed by 10%.
Aether transmutation and culinary beverage recipes
Rather than eating Apricots immediately, players can submerge them into shimmering Aether liquid to convert them into Ambrosia, unlocking a permanent 5% boost to mining and placement speed. Alternatively, two Apricots can be cooked into Fruit Juice at a Cooking Pot to triple their total buff duration. Spare fruits can be sold to any town merchant for 20 silver apiece.
Trivia
- The playful tooltip 'You'll apricate this!' uses an archaic English word meaning to bask in the sun.
- Apricots share the forest tree canopy drop pool with apples, peaches, grapefruits, and lemons.
