Brain of Confusion

Cerebral dodge probabilities and critical strike retaliation

Awarded from the Brain of Cthulhu Treasure Bag in Expert and Master Mode, the Brain of Confusion provides a 16.67% (1 in 6) chance to dodge incoming attacks. Dodging an enemy strike negates incoming damage and activates the Cerebral Mindtrick buff for 4 seconds. This retaliatory buff increases critical strike chance by 10%, empowering sharp counterattacks after evading lethal blows.

Crimson boss reward and evasion stacking

Whenever the wearer suffers a strike or successfully evades an attack, the accessory emits a mental shockwave that inflicts the Confused debuff on nearby foes. This causes affected enemies to scramble in the opposite direction for several seconds. The evasion check calculates independently from the Black Belt and Master Ninja Gear, allowing defensive characters to stack multiple dodge chances for survival during Hardmode boss fights.

Trivia

• The dodge mechanic was introduced in update 1.4.0.1, transforming the accessory into a premier defensive option.
• Enemies immune to the Confused debuff still trigger the critical strike bonus when an attack is dodged.
