Purchased from the Traveling Merchant for 5 gold coins, the DPS Meter displays your character's current damage dealt per second in real time. Rather than guessing the effectiveness of attack speed reforges, armor set bonuses, or minion swarms, players can strike target dummies or hostile bosses to examine their actual offensive output. Testing various reforges on a target dummy reveals whether critical strike chance or raw damage delivers superior output. The display appears on screen without requiring the device to be equipped in an accessory slot.
Goblin tech assembly and cell phone route
At a Tinkerer's Workshop, the meter fuses with the Stopwatch and Lifeform Analyzer to form Goblin Tech. That module constitutes a core segment of the PDA and ultimate Cell Phone. Operating reliably from the general inventory or inside a Void Bag, it broadcasts damage statistics to all nearby party members in multiplayer sessions, facilitating weapon comparisons and arena damage testing.
