Each time a ranged weapon fires, the game randomly chooses an eligible ammunition item from available inventory stacks rather than following sequential order. Right-clicking advances the device into simple non-cycling mode with immediate responsiveness, transforming its behaviour on demand during active boss combat.

Chaotic status application and ranged performance

Randomized ammunition creates unpredictable combat effects when loading mixed inventories containing debuffing arrows, bouncing rounds, and explosive munitions. While deterministic cycling suits controlled debuff management, random mode shines during horde invasions where diverse projectile types disrupt clustered enemies across open areas. It encourages creative ammo combinations without forcing a rigid firing rotation. Modifiers persist when changing configurations. Lucky serves as a strong reforge, amplifying random projectile bursts with critical strikes for high burst damage output.
