Obtained as a rare treasure from the Pirate Invasion event, the Discount Card provides valuable economic savings across all NPC interactions. Standard pirate deckhands drop it at a 0.1% rate, while the Pirate Captain drops it at 0.4% and the airborne Flying Dutchman offers a 6.67% chance. Equipping the card lowers town vendor purchase prices and Goblin Tinkerer reforge fees by 20% across all transactions, including expensive items like the Clentaminator.

Reforging economy and Greedy Ring investment

This card saves significant amounts of platinum coins when rolling for elite prefixes like Unreal, Mythical, or Legendary on expensive endgame weapons. It can be stored in a Piggy Bank, Safe, or Void Vault and equipped only when shopping or reforging gear in town. It combines with the Coin Ring at a Tinkerer's Workshop to create the Greedy Ring. Reforging the card is unnecessary because it is removed before entering combat.
