Shimmer transmutation and liquid phasing control

The Chromatic Cloak is obtained by dropping a Star Cloak into the iridescent pool of Shimmer found in the underground Aether biome. While worn in an accessory slot, it grants immunity to the Shimmering debuff, permitting players to wade or swim across Shimmer liquid safely. In addition, holding the Down directional key while submerged enables the wearer to phase downward through solid floor tiles into lower chambers.

Aether biome exploration and defensive loadouts

This mantle provides practical utility for spelunkers excavating near the Aether, allowing them to gather fallen stars and transmutation resources without accidentally falling through cavern layers. Whenever boss combat approaches, players can toss the cloak back into Shimmer to revert it to a standard Star Cloak for star damage retaliation. Warding is the premier modifier for 4 extra defense, whereas Menacing provides 4% increased damage across all weapons.

Trivia
