Dropped by the Hallowed Mimic in Hardmode with a 20% drop rate. Chaos Cylinder grants an 8% increase to all ranged damage. While equipped, ranged weapons consume ammunition stored in dedicated ammo slots in sequential rotating order with every trigger pull. Right-clicking the item in the inventory cycles through four different operational modes of ammunition management without requiring crafting stations, giving rangers adaptable ammo delivery across diverse battle situations.

Combat status cycling and loadout versatility

Chaos Cylinder allows rangers to weave different arrow or bullet variants automatically without pausing to reorganize inventory slots during frantic skirmishes. For instance, players can interleave Ichor Bullet with Crystal Bullet to maintain armor reduction while delivering high shard damage. It competes with utility quivers and emblems for mid-Hardmode accessory space. Reforging to Menacing or Lucky preserves offensive boosts across all mode conversions, bolstering ranged DPS throughout mechanical boss battles and planetary events.
