| Mana Cloak | 1 × Mana Flower, 1 × Star Cloak | Tinkerer's Workshop |
Falling star retaliation and mana preservation
Forged at a Tinkerer's Workshop by combining a Mana Flower with a Star Cloak dropped by Mimic enemies. This cloak reduces mana consumption by 8%, automates mana potion drinking when the mana bar depletes, and causes special mana stars to fall from the sky whenever the player receives damage. These falling stars strike enemies for 90 base magic damage and replenish 50 mana when collected.
Retaliatory spellcasting and cloak alternatives
Serves as an aggressive alternative to the Magnet Flower for Hardmode sorcerers. When taking damage during dense arena fights like Martian Madness or Duke Fishron, the falling stars punish encroaching monsters while restoring mana directly to the player. The automated potion consumption maintains continuous spellfire from weapons like the Laser Machinegun. Best reforged to Menacing for increased magic damage scaling or Lucky for critical strike consistency.
Trivia
- Stars produced by the Mana Cloak do not fall if the player is positioned in deep caverns without sufficient ceiling clearance.
- The mana stars spawned by damage can be picked up by teammates in multiplayer sessions.
