When cast, the staff calls down flaming meteors from the sky directly toward the target reticle, striking blocks or foes for 50 base magic damage. Each descending meteorite explodes on impact, inflicting the On Fire! debuff and damaging clustered hostiles across a small blast radius. Because projectiles drop from above, solid ceilings and enclosed cave roofs obstruct the meteor trajectory, restricting its usage in cramped subterranean chambers.

Segmented boss shredding and early Hardmode magic loadouts

The vertical barrage makes the weapon effective against massive grounded adversaries and multi-segmented bosses such as The Destroyer. Operating at Very fast velocity with a use time of 10, it consumes 9 mana per strike, rapidly exhausting reserves unless paired with a Mana Flower or Mana Regeneration potions. It functions alongside early Hardmode magic alternatives like the Sky Fracture and Crystal Serpent. The optimal prefix is Mythical, granting maximum boosts to damage, speed, and critical chance.
