| Platinum Helmet | 20 × Platinum Bar | Iron Anvil |
Casting refined platinum ore into heavy headwear
Fashioned from 20 Platinum Bar ingots at an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil, the Platinum Helmet confers 5 defense. Creating these bars requires mining 80 raw Platinum Ore from subterranean rock formations. Wearing it alongside Platinum Chainmail and Platinum Greaves activates the set bonus, providing 4 extra defense to achieve 20 total defense for the full armor set.
Top-tier pre-evil head protection and utility
Supplying 5 defense on its own, this headpiece delivers higher protection than Gold Helmet and Tungsten Helmet. It represents the most defensive headgear available from surface ores before entering the Corruption or Crimson. For miners navigating treacherous underground trap fields or facing the Eye of Cthulhu, the helmet provides dependable physical resistance that reduces incoming damage from contact attacks during intense boss encounters.
Trivia
- The Platinum Helmet provides 5 defense, which is 1 point higher than the crafted Gold Helmet.
