| Tungsten Greaves | 20 × Tungsten Bar | Iron Anvil |
Smelting sturdy tungsten plates for leg armor
Constructed at an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil with 20 Tungsten Bar ingots, Tungsten Greaves provide 3 defense. Assembling these greaves requires mining 80 units of raw Tungsten Ore from cavern layers. Pairing them with Tungsten Helmet and Tungsten Chainmail activates the set bonus of 3 defense, culminating in 15 total defense for the full set.
Mid-tier armor balancing and spelunking value
Tungsten Greaves match Silver Greaves at 3 defense, but the complete tungsten set achieves 15 total defense compared to silver's 13. While miners frequently hold onto initial bars for tools and pickaxes, crafting greaves provides consistent reduction against contact damage from cave spiders and skeleton archers. They offer reliable foundational protection until players acquire shadow scale or crimson armor during deeper subterranean expeditions.
Trivia
- The full Tungsten Armor set grants 15 total defense, outperforming silver armor by 2 points.
- Forging these greaves requires 20 tungsten ingots smelted from 80 raw ore chunks.
