Cavern wandering and terrarium housing
Snails spawn naturally on stone and dirt surfaces across surface meadows and subterranean caverns, especially in damp underground chambers. Players capture them using a Bug Net or Golden Bug Net. Because snails crawl slowly across stone tiles without flying or leaping away, capturing them remains straightforward once spotted. Once secured, combining a snail with an empty Terrarium yields a decorative Snail Cage, while combining it with 50 stone at a Heavy Assembler carves a Snail Statue.
Bait utility and alternative subterranean critters
As an angling resource, the snail supplies 10% bait power. While adequate for basic fishing, its low rating causes it to be consumed rapidly during casting cycles. The glowing variant found in mushroom caverns, the Glowing Snail, provides higher bait potency. Because merchants purchase captured snails for 10 silver, selling them to town vendors often proves more advantageous than using them as bait.
Trivia
