Subterranean triad fusion and multi-throw mechanics
The Trimarang is crafted at an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil by uniting three subterranean throwing weapons: the Enchanted Boomerang, Ice Boomerang, and Shroomerang. Striking for 21 base melee damage, this weapon solves the fundamental limitation of standard boomerangs by permitting up to 3 distinct projectiles in flight simultaneously. Each throw curves through the air independently and returns directly to the wielder.
Multi-projectile zoning and prefix limitations
With a Very fast turn time of 20 ticks and moderate knockback of 4.5, rapid tossing creates a persistent vortex of spinning blades that controls ground swarms and agile flying pests alike. By eliminating the awkward pause spent waiting for a single boomerang to return, it maintains steady offensive pressure throughout mid-pre-Hardmode exploration. Because boomerangs do not scale with attack size modifiers, the Legendary reforge is unavailable; Godly and Demonic provide the highest damage, critical strike chance, and projectile velocity.
Trivia
- The Trimarang was introduced in update 1.4.4 as a combination craft for early-game exploration boomerangs.
