Crafted at a Work Bench using 10 Wood and 20 Cobweb. As the earliest available yoyo, it delivers 9 base melee damage with a 2.5 knockback impact and Fast velocity. When thrown, the wooden spool remains suspended in the air for approximately four seconds before automatically returning to the player. It extends roughly nine tiles, allowing players to attack hostile critters while remaining safely behind single-block gaps or barriers.

Melee spacing tactics and late-game Chik assembly

The weapon provides superior defensive spacing compared to starter wooden swords, making it ideal for fighting aggressive surface enemies like zombies and demon eyes without trading contact damage. While superseded in the underground by drops like the Rally or crafted options like the Amazon, it retains long-term utility as a crafting ingredient for Chik in early Hardmode. Because yoyos cannot gain speed reforge bonuses, Godly stands as its best modifier.
