Subterranean burrowers beneath the cavern layer
Diggers are multi-segmented worms that tunnel through deep subterranean rock layers. Driven by predatory instincts, they dig through solid stone and dirt blocks, alerting explorers through distinctive grinding sound cues before bursting through cavern walls. They have 200 health and 10 defense across their segmented body structure.
Countering worm breaches with piercing weapons
While individual segments deal 45 damage in Classic and 90 in Expert, their linear movement path makes them susceptible to piercing arrows, flails, and swinging swords. Miners who eliminate these underground serpents have a 2% chance to receive the Whoopie Cushion novelty item, an ingredient in crafting fart-based mobility balloons.
Trivia
- Diggers are smaller and less durable than their Giant Worm cousins.
- Attacking a Digger with piercing attacks damages multiple body segments at once.
