Ancient temple guardians shifting into quadrupedal charges
Lihzahrds are ancient reptilian sentinels guarding the chambers of the Jungle Temple. Carrying 400 health and 20 defense, a Lihzahrd initially strides on two legs, dealing 38 contact damage in Classic, 76 in Expert, and 114 in Master. When its health is reduced below half, it drops onto all fours, dramatically increasing its running speed and leaping aggressively.
Clearing temple corridors for golem summoning batteries
Countering a charging Lihzahrd requires high-knockback weapons like the Paladins Hammer or autofire shotguns that halt its rapid sprint. Defeated Lihzahrds drop Solar Tablet Fragments at a 14.3% chance (1–2 units), Lihzahrd Power Cells at 2% to operate the temple altar, and the rare Lizard Egg pet at 0.1%.
Trivia
- Lihzahrds switch their animation and movement logic when damaged past 50% health, sprinting on all fours.
