Basilisks are sturdy reptilian foes that charge at players in dark chambers, making hunting them rewarding once players acquire mid-game armor. Blowing the horn summons a rideable Basilisk mount that carries the player across underground pathways with aggressive desert speed.

Ramming charges and subterranean traversal

Mounting the Basilisk grants a top sprinting speed of forty-one miles per hour alongside double jump capability to leap over chasm pits. Once the mount accelerates into its full sprint, it gains knockback immunity and deals heavy contact damage to any enemies standing in its direct path. It reduces fall damage by 80%, allowing riders to plunge down desert sinkholes with minimal danger. The high-speed ramming mechanic excels at clearing long horizontal cavern corridors and railway tunnels crowded with bats and skeletons.
