Golf Cart Keys are purchased from the Golfer for 50 gold once two specific progression criteria are met. The player must defeat Skeletron to liberate the clothier and unlock dungeon access, and their cumulative golf score must reach two thousand points across any putting courses. Achieving this rating requires sinking golf balls into cups over moderate distances using clubs like the iron or wedge. Once unlocked, the keys summon a four-wheeled Golf Cart mount that can be activated across any terrain.

Headlight illumination and vehicular impact

The Golf Cart reaches a brisk cruising pace of forty-one miles per hour on flat surfaces with rapid acceleration. Front headlights project bright beams outward, lighting cavern tunnels and nighttime landscapes without requiring held torches. The sturdy frame absorbs 80% of incoming fall damage, allowing players to leap off steep hills safely. Driving at top velocity inflicts contact damage and knockback on hostile monsters in the vehicle path, turning the cart into a dependable Pre-Hardmode vehicle for clearing surface slime hordes.
