Blessed Apple

Hallowed unicorn hunting and drop rates

The Blessed Apple is a Hardmode mount summoning item dropped by Unicorn enemies roaming the pastel grass of the surface Hallow. It drops at a rate of one in forty in Classic mode, improving to one in thirty in Expert mode worlds. Because unicorns spawn abundantly on Hallowed surface grass during both day and night, farming them with basic summoner minions or piercing ranged weapons yields this sacred fruit relatively quickly upon entering Hardmode.

High-speed gallop and horn piercing charge

Using the Blessed Apple summons a rideable Unicorn mount capable of hitting an impressive galloping speed of sixty-one miles per hour. Reaching maximum velocity activates a sparkling rainbow aura and grants the rider knockback immunity while its horn pierces foes for substantial contact damage. The unicorn features a built-in double jump to vault over tall obstacles, alongside an 80% reduction in fall damage. Its fast ground pace makes it a premier mount for traversing flat asphalt skyways and evading ground attacks from mechanical bosses.

Trivia

• Riding the Unicorn mount while using the Blessed Apple or holding specific weapons like Rainbow Rod can trigger special visual effects.
• The unicorn horn inflicts high knockback against non-boss monsters struck during full gallop sprints.
