Costs 13 mana to shoot a piercing spear of interlocking crystal spikes that extends outward through solid blocks. It deals 25 base magic damage with 3 knockback at a Slow cadence with a 33 use time, hitting targets multiple times along its length and ignoring 10 points of enemy defense.

Subterranean safety and piercing weapon progression

As the Hardmode successor to the pre-Hardmode Vilethorn and a stepping stone to the post-Plantera Nettle Burst, this weapon allows mages to eliminate subterranean threats from behind fortified walls. While its low base damage limits its viability in open-air boss arenas, its defense penetration and multi-hit piercing make it effective for clearing Underground Corruption or Crimson chasms.
