| Cobalt Leggings | 15 × Cobalt Bar | Iron Anvil |
Fast-moving greaves and universal damage output
Smelted and crafted from 15 Cobalt Bar ingots at an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil, Cobalt Leggings grant 8 defense. They provide a 10% increase to movement speed along with a 3% bonus to all damage types. This mixture of mobility and universal damage makes these greaves a valuable early hardmode upgrade over pre-hardmode greaves, helping players navigate dangerous subterranean pathways.
Kiting capability and comparison with Palladium
Paired with Cobalt Breastplate and any Cobalt headgear, these leggings complete the set to grant class-specific bonuses like ammo conservation, melee speed, or mana reduction. Compared to Palladium Leggings, which grant 2% damage and 1% critical strike chance without movement speed, Cobalt Leggings emphasize swift movement. This sprint rate helps players kite aggressive cavern monsters, evade underground traps, and outrun boss attacks during open-field skirmishes.
