Marksman headpiece and ranged precision
Forged from 10 Cobalt Bar ingots at an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil, the Cobalt Mask grants 5 defense for distance combatants. It enhances ranged damage by 10% and increases ranged critical strike chance by 10%. This headwear serves as an early hardmode milestone for bowmen and gunslingers upgrading from pre-hardmode sets like Necro Armor, providing durable protection against aggressive cavern creatures.
Ammunition preservation and set performance
When united with Cobalt Breastplate and Cobalt Leggings, the full set reaches 23 defense and unlocks a set bonus granting a 20% chance to conserve ammunition. This bonus stacks with ammo conservation items to extend supplies of expensive rounds like Ichor Bullets or Holy Arrows. While Palladium Helmet emphasizes life recovery, the Cobalt Mask provides ammo economy that benefits long skirmishes against mechanical bosses.
Trivia
