| Daybreak | 18 × Solar Fragment | Ancient Manipulator |
Impaling solar spears and incendiary stack bursts
Daybreak is forged at an Ancient Manipulator using eighteen Solar Fragments. Instead of swinging like a standard broadsword, it hurls high-velocity solar javelins along a gentle ballistic arc. Each thrown spear embeds itself into struck foes, inflicting the Daybroken debuff. Up to eight javelins can embed simultaneously within a single victim, stacking the burning damage over time to hundreds of damage per second. When embedded spears expire or the target perishes, they detonate in an incendiary burst that damages neighboring hostiles.
Single-target boss hunting and godly reforging
Daybreak serves as the focused single-target counterpart to Solar Eruption. While Solar Eruption excels at sweeping through walls and clearing packs of enemies, Daybreak provides superior DPS against standalone bosses like the Moon Lord, where stacking multiple javelins maintains steady damage during evasive flight maneuvers. Because Daybreak functions as a thrown projectile weapon without a physical swing hitbox, it cannot receive size modifiers, making Godly or Demonic the optimal prefix.
Trivia
- The Daybroken debuff stacks up to eight times on a single creature, multiplying its burning damage per tick.
- Daybreak javelins emit bright solar light, illuminating targets even through solid cavern blocks.
