Crafted at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil using 10 Feather, 20 Soul of Flight, and 15 Soul of Night. Demon Wings provide the evil biome counterpart to Angel Wings, requiring souls gathered from Underground Corruption or Underground Crimson monsters alongside wyvern drops from the Sky layer. They represent one of the primary flight crafting recipes for newly initiated Hardmode worlds, granting players immediate access to basic aerial mobility.
Basic flight mechanics and boss arena utility
Offering 100 ticks of flight time, 104 ft of vertical rise, and 32 mph horizontal speed, Demon Wings grant initial flight capability upon starting Hardmode. They negate fall damage and let players build high arenas, dodge ground hazards, and maintain mobility when confronting Skeletron Prime or The Destroyer. While superseded by mid-Hardmode wings later on, they provide vital early aerial defense that facilitates exploration across cavern chasms.
