Metal bar forging and dual purpose headgear functionality

Forged at an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil using 2 Iron Bar or Lead Bar ingots, the Empty Bucket functions as both a liquid transport vessel and an improvised helmet providing 1 defense. When equipped directly into the armor head slot, it rests over the wearer's skull as a makeshift metallic coif, offering a speed of 10 when used as a scooping tool.

Early ingot economy and fluid management utility

Before players accumulate enough metal for an Iron Helmet or Lead Helmet, wearing an Empty Bucket grants protection equal to a Wood Helmet while saving precious bars. Beyond head defense, the bucket transports water, lava, honey, and shimmer, allowing adventurers to craft obsidian or brew potions. Placing buckets outdoors also allows them to accumulate water during rainy weather.

Trivia

  • Wearing the bucket in the head armor slot displays an inverted metal pail over the character.
  • Can hold and transport individual tiles of water, lava, honey, or shimmer.
