Granting fluid mobility in aquatic environments
Concocted with Bottled Water, a Shiverthorn, and a Waterleaf, the Flipper Potion grants unrestricted swimming capabilities for 8 minutes. The resulting Flipper buff grants the same swimming mechanics as the Flipper accessory, letting characters swim upward through liquids by pressing the jump key.
Eliminating movement drag in flooded caverns
In addition to swimming upward, the potion negates fluid resistance, allowing full movement velocity through water, honey, and lava without being slowed down. This makes it a helpful utility draft when draining large underground reservoirs, looting underwater ocean chests, or exploring flooded marble and granite caves before obtaining aquatic accessories.
Trivia
- While it permits uninhibited swimming through lava, the potion provides no immunity to lava burn damage unless paired with an Obsidian Skin Potion.
