Early cavern thrusting versus broadsword reach
With its quick attack cadence, the Gold Shortsword functions well for dispatching individual crawling enemies and knocking back aggressive zombies. While the Gold Broadsword provides superior crowd control thanks to its swinging arc, the shortsword requires fewer bars and focuses high single-target DPS directly where the cursor points.
