Green String

Subterranean mushroom gathering and verdant cord crafting

Produced at a Dye Vat by uniting a White String with Green Dye, mashed from wild Green Mushroom caps found along cavern dirt. Equipping this string adds four to five tiles to maximum yoyo throw range, aiding jungle expeditions where venomous hornets and thorny vines require careful spacing. Spotting green mushrooms while exploring underground allows players to brew the dye without buying materials from NPCs, providing a swift customization path before entering deep caverns.

Underground jungle spacing and foliage vanity synergy

The extended reach allows players to strike snapping man eaters and piranhas from high tree branches without entering deep water basins. In social accessory slots, the Green String imbues yoyo cords with a bright verdant hue, harmonizing visually with jungle armor, chlorophyte gear, and nature-themed decorative outfits. It provides dependable melee kiting capability against fast underground predators across all pre-Hardmode cavern exploration, letting duelists maintain safe spacing during chaotic underground skirmishes.
