Crafted at a Loom using 30 units of Cobweb, White String is the foundational yoyo accessory in Terraria. Equipping it increases the tether distance of all yoyos by four to five blocks. This extra line length allows early melee characters to space themselves safely away from aggressive slimes, corruption crawlers, and subterranean zombies during early cave exploration, improving overall survivability before acquiring advanced armor. Because cobwebs are abundant in abandoned mine shafts, crafting White String is a practical early upgrade for any explorer wielding a wooden or metal yoyo.
