Sky Blue String

Dye Vat coloring and yoyo range extension

Crafted at a Dye Vat by combining White String with Sky Blue Dye. Equipping Sky Blue String in an accessory slot extends the maximum reach of all yoyos by approximately four to five tiles. This additional tether distance allows melee characters to strike enemies from a safer distance during early and mid-game cavern exploration without suffering contact damage from aggressive monsters. It also marginally increases yoyo hang time and airborne stability during prolonged melee engagements.

Tinkerer accessory fusion and cosmetic dyeing

Players can combine Sky Blue String with any colored counterweight at a Tinkerer's Workshop to craft a Strung Counterweight. That hybrid accessory serves as a direct ingredient for the Yoyo Bag and the late-game Magic Yoyo Bag. Equipping the string in a social vanity accessory slot dyes the yoyo tether bright azure without consuming an active combat equipment slot, offering visual customization during subterranean expeditions.

Trivia

• Dyeing white string does not alter reach bonuses or counterweight behavior, only the visible tether color.
• Sky Blue Dye required for crafting is created from Sky Blue Flowers harvested in jungle grass.
