Excavation acceleration with antlion parts and herbs
Mining Potion is concocted at a placed Bottle or Alchemy Table using Bottled Water, Blinkroot, and an Antlion Mandible. Drinking it confers the Mining buff for 10 minutes, providing a +25% mining speed bonus that reduces the swing delay on pickaxes and drills when striking blocks.
Stacking tool speed bonuses toward the excavation cap
Combining this potion with a Mining Shirt set and an Ancient Chisel allows miners to push close to the hard 70% mining speed limit. This setup speeds up clearing hellstone trenches, excavating quarantine tunnels around corruption biomes, and digging cavern arenas for boss fights.
Trivia
- Mining speed bonuses reduce the cooldown between tool hits but do not increase weapon attack speed or melee damage.
