The Mythril Chainsaw provides motorized logging capabilities upon entering mid-tier Hardmode. Players assemble it from 10 Mythril Bar ingots at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil. Operating with 85% axe power, it rapidly saws down surface trees, rich mahogany, and underground glowing mushrooms. Contact with monsters deals 29 base melee damage alongside 3 knockback, holding small pests in hitstun while clearing timber.
Channeled cutting cadence and optimal combat modifiers
Because the chainsaw channels a continuous cutting line, it does not require repeated swings to fell dense forests. Unlike the swinging Mythril Waraxe, chainsaws cannot benefit from attack speed bonuses or receive the Light prefix. Players should reforge it with the Godly or Demonic modifier to increase its damage output and critical chance. Compared to the Orichalcum Chainsaw, this tool costs two fewer bars to assemble, offering an economical option for fast wood gathering.
