Channeled borehole excavation for Adamantite and Titanium
Crafted from fifteen Mythril Bar units at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil, the Mythril Drill upgrades subterranean excavation. Endowed with 150% pickaxe power, it penetrates hardened cavern strata to harvest Adamantite Ore and Titanium Ore. The drill thrusts forward continuously toward the cursor, inflicting 15 base melee damage and 0.5 knockback on encroaching spiders and slimes.
Drill penetration speeds compared to swinging pickaxes
In direct comparison to the Mythril Pickaxe, this drill lacks one tile of reach and does not swing in an overhead protective arc. However, its continuous drilling punctures stone faster than an unbuffed pickaxe during early exploration. Because drills cannot benefit from melee speed modifiers, the Light prefix is unavailable, making Godly or Demonic the strongest modifier options. Crafting the drill requires three fewer bars than the Orichalcum Drill, allowing miners to save metal for armor.
Trivia
- Drills operate with one tile less mining reach than corresponding pickaxes.
- Its pickaxe power allows players to harvest both Adamantite and Titanium ores.
