Although 2 defense on a wooden cap exceeds surface Wood Helmet options, the danger involved in harvesting Pearlwood makes this helmet impractical for serious combat. Fast-moving Pixies and high-damage Illuminant Bats populate the Hallow, while the full set provides only 8 defense. Instead, players should prioritize smashing altars to mine early Hardmode ores, leaving Pearlwood gear for aesthetic displays or vanity loadouts.
