Purple String

Marine sea snail harvesting and imperial dye mixing

Tailored at a Dye Vat from a White String and Purple Dye, distilled from the Purple Mucus of ocean Sea Snail mollusks. Wearing this cord adds four to five tiles of reach to any yoyo, letting players fend off flying corruption foes like Eater of Souls packs from safe range. Hunting sea snails along deep ocean sandbanks supplies the mucus needed for this imperial dye, giving players a noble visual theme for subterranean combat.

Corruption containment and royal cord aesthetics

Longer yoyo lines allow fighters to sweep across chasm ledges and strike creeping devourers before they breach defensive barriers. In social equipment slots, the Purple String transforms the yoyo line into a rich royal violet hue, matching demonite equipment, shadow armor suits, and abyssal vanity costumes. It gives melee warriors safe reach while lending a regal finish to spinning string weapons, making it a standout option for corruption-themed melee characters.

Trivia

• Purple Mucus is acquired by diving down to the ocean floor to locate rare crawling Sea Snails.
• The purple string improves projectile range without altering yoyo rotation speed or strike timing.
