Sliding it into the chest armor slot awards 3 defense. It serves as the torso component of the Snow armor set or can be upgraded into the Pink Snow Coat at a crafting bench once pink thread is acquired.

Frigid exploration and debuff prevention

Wearing this coat alongside the matching Snow Hood and Snow Pants grants immunity to the Chilled and Frozen debuffs. This enables players to traverse ice caverns and submerged glacial tunnels without suffering drastic movement speed penalties. This immunity proves practical for mining ice blocks and hunting cavern chests before acquiring the Ankh Shield. This debuff protection prevents accidental drowning caused by icy water slowing.
