Chilled walkers of the tundra surface
The Frozen Zombie is a cold-adapted undead variant that wanders the surface Snow biome during nighttime hours. Possessing 50 life and 8 defense, it advances through snowy drifts with 16 contact damage in Classic, increasing to 32 in Expert and 48 in Master. In Expert and Master modes, strikes from this frostbitten corpse inflict the Chilled debuff, halving player movement speed and making it easy for pursuing packs to overwhelm defenders.
Surviving snowy nights and collecting coats
Navigating tundra nights requires caution against the slow effect inflicted by Frozen Zombie strikes. Using high-knockback wooden clubs or keeping distance with bows prevents the Chilled status from taking hold. Defeating Frozen Zombies offers chances to collect the cozy Snow Hood (3.33%) and Snow Coat (3.33%), vanity apparel that provides early aesthetic warmth, alongside the standard Zombie Arm (0.4%) and Shackle (2%).
Trivia
- In Expert and Master modes, its contact attacks have a high probability of inflicting the Chilled debuff.
- It comes in two visual variants: an unclad frostbitten corpse and an Eskimo parka-wearing zombie.
