They reach a maximum climb height of 167 tiles, tying with Stardust Wings for the tallest vertical reach among craftable wings in Terraria, while fully negating all fall damage on landing. Their steep launch velocity lets melee players rapidly close gaps against aerial targets or escape sweeping ground attacks with minimal startup delay.

Arena traversal and melee engagement synergy

The rapid vertical climb allows melee warriors to evade ground-based projectile spreads, phantasmal deathrays, and sweeping boss dashes during the Moon Lord encounter. While flying, the wings emit bright fiery embers and shed orange light into surrounding terrain, enhancing visibility in dark arenas. Players can combine these wings with Soaring Insignia to achieve limitless aerial mobility and swift vertical escapes. The intense vertical thrust pairs well with melee armor bonuses, allowing warriors to dictate engagement distances against high-flying Hardmode bosses.
