Crimson horrors of the nocturnal eclipse
The Blood Zombie is a crimson-fleshed ghoul that swarms surface biomes throughout the Blood Moon event. Carrying 75 health and 8 defense, it sprints faster than ordinary surface zombies, clawing at player barricades with 20 contact damage in Classic, 40 in Expert, and 60 in Master. Its gruesome crimson visage and heightened aggression make surviving early blood moons a tense struggle.
Armor penetration and piggy bank summoning
Farming Blood Zombies during early progression provides valuable combat trinkets. Defeating them offers a 0.67% chance to obtain the Shark Tooth Necklace, an accessory providing five flat armor penetration to enhance rapid-firing weapons like bows and bee guns. They also yield the coveted Money Trough at 0.5% and the Bloody Tear (1%) to trigger future blood moons.
