Blood moon angling and floating terrors
The Wandering Eye Fish is an aquatic predator hooked from open water during a Blood Moon. Carrying 300 life and 18 defense, it lunges out of bloody ponds and flies through the air toward the shoreline, inflicting 35 contact damage in Classic, 70 in Expert, and 105 in Master. Unlike ordinary fish, it pursues anglers onto dry land with floating aerial maneuvers.
Harvesting blood moon summoner gear
Fished up during bloody nights, this creature yields valuable early equipment. It offers a 12.5% chance to drop the Vampire Frog Staff for summoners, 12.5% for the Blood Rain Bow, and 12.5% for the Chum Caster fishing rod. It also drops Chum Buckets at 50% (yielding 4–6 buckets) to raise fishing power, and the portable Money Trough at 6.67%.
Trivia
- It can only be reeled in using a fishing pole during an active Blood Moon event.
- Despite being a fish, it flies freely through air without suffocating.
